· God caused a wind to pass over the earth, causing the waters to subside (Genesis 8:1).
· The fountains of the deep were stopped. (Genesis 8:2)
· The windows of heaven were also stopped, and rain from heaven restrained (Genesis 8:2).

What did God decree after Noah had offered the burnt offerings?
God declared five things:
· Never again will He curse the ground for man’s sake. (Genesis 8:21)
· Never again will He destroy every living thing as He had done by the floods. (Genesis 8:21)
· While the earth remains, seed time and harvest shall not cease. (Genesis 8:22)
· While the earth remains, cold and heat shall not cease. (Genesis 8:22)
· While the earth remains, winter and summer shall not cease. (Genesis 8:22)
· While the earth remains, day and night shall not cease. (Genesis 8:22)
