For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon you. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. You have covered yourself with a cloud that prayer should not pass through.”

Lamentations 3:52-66

“My enemies without cause hunted me down like a bird. They silenced my life in the pit and threw stones at me. The waters flowed over my head; I said, ‘I am cut off!’ I called on your name, O LORD, from the lowest pit, You have heard my voice: ‘Do not hide your ear from my sighing, from my cry for help.’ You drew near on the day I called on You, and said, ‘do not fear!’ O LORD, You have pleaded the case for my soul; You have redeemed my life. O LORD, You have seen how I am wronged; Judge my case. You have seen all their vengeance, all their schemes against me. You have heard their reproach, O LORD, all their schemes, the lips of my enemies and their whispering against me all day. Look at their sitting down and their rising up; I am their taunting song. Repay them, O LORD, according to the work of their hands. Give them a veiled heart; your curse be upon them! In your anger, pursue and destroy them from under the heavens of the LORD.”

Lamentations 5:19-22

“You, O LORD, remain forever; Your throne from generation to generation. Why do you forget us forever, and forsake us for so long a time? Turn us back to You, O LORD, and we will be restored; renew our days as of old, unless you have utterly rejected us, and are very angry with us!”

Hosea 6:1-3

“Come and let us return to the LORD: for He has torn, but he will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight. Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth.”

Hosea 10:12

“Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD, till he comes and rains righteousness on you.”

Joel 2:12-14

“Now, therefore says the LORD, ‘turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.’ So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him – a grain offering and a drink offering for the LORD your God?”

Romans 8:26

“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.”

2 Corinthians 4:8-11

“We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed – always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the of the gospel of peace; above all taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints -”

Philippians 2:12

“Having disarmed principalities and powers, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”

“Therefore let us not sleep, as others do but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.”
