What are the scriptures for depression

1 Samuel 2:6-9

“The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap to set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory. ‘For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and He has set the world upon them. He will guard the feet of his saints, but the wicked shall be silent in darkness, ‘For by strength no man shall prevail.’’”

Isaiah 3:10

“Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.”

Isaiah 12:2

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid, for YAH, the LORD, is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation.”

Isaiah 35:3-4

“Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, ‘Be strong, and do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you.’”

Isaiah 40:28-31

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. There is no searching of his understanding. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.”

Isaiah 41:10-13

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. ‘Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them—those who contended with you. Those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a non-existent thing. For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’’”

Let him give his cheek to the one who strikes him and be full of reproach. For the Lord will not cast off forever. Though he causes grief, yet he will show compassion according to the multitude of his mercies. For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.”

Lamentations 3:38-44

“Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that woe and well-being proceed? Why should a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins? Let us search out and examine our ways and turn back to the LORD; let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven. We have transgressed and rebelled; you have not pardoned. You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us; you have slain and not pitied; you have covered yourself with a cloud that prayer should not pass through.”

Show me your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths; lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; on you I wait all the day. Psalm 40:1-3

For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon you. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
